What areas does Connex Electrical Services cover?
Connex Electrical Services is based in Louth and takes work across the county, including Drogheda, Dundalk, Ardee, Carlingford, Termonfeckin, Dunleer and Castlebellingham. Most installers cover their whole county rather than one town, so it is worth confirming your own address when you call.
What grant can I claim on work by Connex Electrical Services?
Grants may be available for eligible homes. SEAI lists support of up to €1,800 for solar panels as of July 2026, and SEAI decides eligibility. Confirm how the application and payment work with Connex Electrical Services and with SEAI before any work starts.
Does my home in Louth qualify for a grant?
A home built and occupied before 2021 usually qualifies. Housing across Louth varies a lot, so the survey decides rather than the county. A registered installer confirms eligibility during a free survey before anything is committed.
Do I need to use an installer based in Louth?
No. SEAI registration is national rather than county by county, so a contractor listed under a neighbouring county can quote for your home and handle the grant the same way. Getting two or three quotes is the only reliable way to see what the work should cost.
The Other Trades a Louth Retrofit Needs
A renewable heating upgrade rarely happens on its own, and the order the work goes in decides what it costs. These are SEAI-registered trades covering Louth on our sister sites, each one worth lining up before the heating work starts rather than after.
- While the scaffolding is up Roofers in Louth If external wall insulation is going on, the scaffolding is already up and paid for. That is the cheapest time to deal with the roof, and solar panels want a sound roof under them.
- Alongside the installation Electricians in Louth A heat pump needs its own supply and isolator, and solar panels need the inverter tied into the consumer unit and the ESB notification handled. Both are electrician work.
SEAI Heat Pump Grant for Work by Connex Electrical Services
SEAI support for a heat pump is up to €12,500 (as of July 2026) for eligible homes. Ask Connex Electrical Services how the grant application and payment would work for your job, and confirm the details with SEAI before any work starts.
It is worth knowing how the total breaks down before the survey. The heat pump itself carries €6,500, a Renewable Heat Bonus applies where you are replacing an oil, gas, solid fuel or electric storage system, and a further amount goes towards heating system upgrades such as new radiators. Asking for the quote to set those out separately makes the net figure clear rather than leaving it to be worked out later.
