It returns an estimate, not a quote. The grant amounts it works from are fixed and published, so that half of the sum is reliable. The installed cost is the half that moves, because it depends on your house rather than on a price list, and only a survey settles it.
How much is the SEAI heat pump grant?
SEAI support for an air-to-water or ground source heat pump is €6,500 for the heat pump itself, as of July 2026. Total support for a house can reach €12,500 once other qualifying measures are counted.
What is the SEAI solar PV grant worth?
Up to €1,800 for a domestic solar electricity system, as of July 2026, provided the installer is registered with SEAI.
Why is the total for a house higher than the heat pump grant?
The €6,500 figure is the heat pump on its own. The €12,500 figure is everything a house can attract, so it covers other measures as well and is not a straight deduction from an installed heat pump price.
Do I have to use an SEAI-registered installer?
SEAI requires the work to be carried out by a registered contractor, so check the current scheme rules on the SEAI website and confirm the installer is on the SEAI register before you commit.
Does the calculator include the cost of the work?
