Eco Technology, Common Questions
Is Eco Technology SEAI-registered?
Eco Technology is listed on the SEAI register for solar thermal installation in Dublin (checked July 2026). Registration can change, so confirm it on the SEAI registered contractor search (https://hes.seai.ie/GrantProcess/ContractorSearch.aspx) before you book.

What areas does Eco Technology cover?
Eco Technology is based in Dublin and takes work across the county, including Dublin city centre, Finglas, Clontarf, Rathfarnham, Tallaght, Blanchardstown, Swords, Malahide, Dún Laoghaire and Bray. Most installers cover their whole county rather than one town, so it is worth confirming your own address when you call.
Does Eco Technology only do solar thermal installation?
On the SEAI register they are listed for solar thermal installation. They may well do other work, but solar thermal installation is the measure their registration covers, so it is the one they can process a grant for.
Should anything be done before the installation?
Insulation comes first on any home energy upgrade. A well-sealed house needs a smaller system and runs at a lower cost, and attic and wall insulation carry SEAI grants of their own. Ask about the fabric of the house when you speak to Eco Technology.
What grant can I claim on work by Eco Technology?
Grants may be available for eligible homes. SEAI lists support of up to €1,200 for solar water heating as of July 2026, and SEAI decides eligibility. Confirm how the application and payment work with Eco Technology and with SEAI before any work starts.
The Other Trades a Dublin Retrofit Needs
A renewable heating upgrade rarely happens on its own, and the order the work goes in decides what it costs. These are SEAI-registered trades covering Dublin on our sister sites, each one worth lining up before the heating work starts rather than after.
- While the scaffolding is up Roofers in Dublin If external wall insulation is going on, the scaffolding is already up and paid for. That is the cheapest time to deal with the roof, and solar panels want a sound roof under them.
- Alongside the installation Plumbers and gas installers in Dublin Taking out an old oil or gas boiler, reworking the heating circuit and fitting the hot water cylinder is usually done by a registered plumber, and a heat pump is usually commissioned by a qualified, registered professional.
SEAI Heat Pump Grant for Work by Eco Technology
SEAI support for a heat pump is up to €12,500 (as of July 2026) for eligible homes. Ask Eco Technology how the grant application and payment would work for your job, and confirm the details with SEAI before any work starts.
It is worth knowing how the total breaks down before the survey. The heat pump itself carries €6,500, a Renewable Heat Bonus applies where you are replacing an oil, gas, solid fuel or electric storage system, and a further amount goes towards heating system upgrades such as new radiators. Asking for the quote to set those out separately makes the net figure clear rather than leaving it to be worked out later.
