What areas does Julius Vernys cover?
Julius Vernys is based in Dublin and takes work across the county, including Dublin city centre, Finglas, Clontarf, Rathfarnham, Tallaght, Blanchardstown, Swords, Malahide, Dún Laoghaire and Bray. Most installers cover their whole county rather than one town, so it is worth confirming your own address when you call.
Should anything be done before the installation?
Insulation comes first on any home energy upgrade. A well-sealed house needs a smaller system and runs at a lower cost, and attic and wall insulation carry SEAI grants of their own. Ask about the fabric of the house when you speak to Julius Vernys.
What grant can I claim on work by Julius Vernys?
Grants may be available for eligible homes. SEAI lists support of up to €12,500 for the full heat pump package as of July 2026, and SEAI decides eligibility. Confirm how the application and payment work with Julius Vernys and with SEAI before any work starts.
Does my home in Dublin qualify for a grant?
A home built and occupied before 2021 usually qualifies. Housing across Dublin varies a lot, so the survey decides rather than the county. A registered installer confirms eligibility during a free survey before anything is committed.
The Other Trades a Dublin Retrofit Needs
A renewable heating upgrade rarely happens on its own, and the order the work goes in decides what it costs. These are SEAI-registered trades covering Dublin on our sister sites, each one worth lining up before the heating work starts rather than after.
- Alongside the installation Plumbers and gas installers in Dublin Taking out an old oil or gas boiler, reworking the heating circuit and fitting the hot water cylinder is usually done by a registered plumber, and a heat pump is usually commissioned by a qualified, registered professional.
- Alongside the installation Electricians in Dublin A heat pump needs its own supply and isolator, and solar panels need the inverter tied into the consumer unit and the ESB notification handled. Both are electrician work.
SEAI Heat Pump Grant for Work by Julius Vernys
SEAI support for a heat pump is up to €12,500 (as of July 2026) for eligible homes. Ask Julius Vernys how the grant application and payment would work for your job, and confirm the details with SEAI before any work starts.
It is worth knowing how the total breaks down before the survey. The heat pump itself carries €6,500, a Renewable Heat Bonus applies where you are replacing an oil, gas, solid fuel or electric storage system, and a further amount goes towards heating system upgrades such as new radiators. Asking for the quote to set those out separately makes the net figure clear rather than leaving it to be worked out later.
