What areas does Kevin Blake Electrical Ltd T/a West Clare Solar cover?
Kevin Blake Electrical Ltd T/a West Clare Solar is based in Clare and takes work across the county, including Ennis, Shannon, Kilrush, Killaloe, Ennistymon, Lisdoonvarna, Kilkee and Scarriff. Does Kevin Blake Electrical Ltd T/a West Clare Solar only do solar PV panel installation?
On the SEAI register they are listed for solar PV panel installation. They may well do other work, but solar PV panel installation is the measure their registration covers, so it is the one they can process a grant for.
Should anything be done before the installation?
Insulation comes first on any home energy upgrade. A well-sealed house needs a smaller system and runs at a lower cost, and attic and wall insulation carry SEAI grants of their own. Ask about the fabric of the house when you speak to Kevin Blake Electrical Ltd T/a West Clare Solar.
What grant can I claim on work by Kevin Blake Electrical Ltd T/a West Clare Solar?

The Other Trades a Clare Retrofit Needs
A renewable heating upgrade rarely happens on its own, and the order the work goes in decides what it costs. These are SEAI-registered trades covering Clare on our sister sites, each one worth lining up before the heating work starts rather than after.
- While the scaffolding is up Roofers in Clare If external wall insulation is going on, the scaffolding is already up and paid for. That is the cheapest time to deal with the roof, and solar panels want a sound roof under them.
- Alongside the installation Electricians in Clare A heat pump needs its own supply and isolator, and solar panels need the inverter tied into the consumer unit and the ESB notification handled. Both are electrician work.
SEAI Heat Pump Grant for Work by Kevin Blake Electrical Ltd T/a West Clare Solar
SEAI support for a heat pump is up to €12,500 (as of July 2026) for eligible homes. Ask Kevin Blake Electrical Ltd T/a West Clare Solar how the grant application and payment would work for your job, and confirm the details with SEAI before any work starts.
It is worth knowing how the total breaks down before the survey. The heat pump itself carries €6,500, a Renewable Heat Bonus applies where you are replacing an oil, gas, solid fuel or electric storage system, and a further amount goes towards heating system upgrades such as new radiators. Asking for the quote to set those out separately makes the net figure clear rather than leaving it to be worked out later.
