How do I get a quote from M.C. Horizon Engineering Ltd?
Contact M.C. Horizon Engineering Ltd directly using the phone number on this page. Nothing goes through us, there is no booking fee, and your details are not passed to anyone else or sold on.
What areas does M.C. Horizon Engineering Ltd cover?
M.C. Horizon Engineering Ltd is based in Galway and takes work across the county, including Galway city, Oranmore, Athenry, Tuam, Ballinasloe, Loughrea, Clifden and Salthill. Most installers cover their whole county rather than one town, so it is worth confirming your own address when you call.
Should anything be done before the installation?
Insulation comes first on any home energy upgrade. A well-sealed house needs a smaller system and runs at a lower cost, and attic and wall insulation carry SEAI grants of their own. Ask about the fabric of the house when you speak to M.C. Horizon Engineering Ltd.
What grant can I claim on work by M.C. Horizon Engineering Ltd?
Grants may be available for eligible homes. SEAI lists support of up to €1,800 for solar panels as of July 2026, and SEAI decides eligibility. Confirm how the application and payment work with M.C. Horizon Engineering Ltd and with SEAI before any work starts.
Does my home in Galway qualify for a grant?
A home built and occupied before 2021 usually qualifies. Housing across Galway varies a lot, so the survey decides rather than the county. A registered installer confirms eligibility during a free survey before anything is committed.
The Other Trades a Galway Retrofit Needs
A renewable heating upgrade rarely happens on its own, and the order the work goes in decides what it costs. These are SEAI-registered trades covering Galway on our sister sites, each one worth lining up before the heating work starts rather than after.
- While the scaffolding is up Roofers in Galway If external wall insulation is going on, the scaffolding is already up and paid for. That is the cheapest time to deal with the roof, and solar panels want a sound roof under them.
- Alongside the installation Electricians in Galway A heat pump needs its own supply and isolator, and solar panels need the inverter tied into the consumer unit and the ESB notification handled. Both are electrician work.
SEAI Heat Pump Grant for Work by M.C. Horizon Engineering Ltd
SEAI support for a heat pump is up to €12,500 (as of July 2026) for eligible homes. Ask M.C. Horizon Engineering Ltd how the grant application and payment would work for your job, and confirm the details with SEAI before any work starts.
It is worth knowing how the total breaks down before the survey. The heat pump itself carries €6,500, a Renewable Heat Bonus applies where you are replacing an oil, gas, solid fuel or electric storage system, and a further amount goes towards heating system upgrades such as new radiators. Asking for the quote to set those out separately makes the net figure clear rather than leaving it to be worked out later.
