The Other Trades a Kerry Retrofit Needs
A renewable heating upgrade rarely happens on its own, and the order the work goes in decides what it costs. These are SEAI-registered trades covering Kerry on our sister sites, each one worth lining up before the heating work starts rather than after.
- Alongside the installation Plumbers and gas installers in Kerry Taking out an old oil or gas boiler, reworking the heating circuit and fitting the hot water cylinder is usually done by a registered plumber, and a heat pump is usually commissioned by a qualified, registered professional.
- Alongside the installation Electricians in Kerry A heat pump needs its own supply and isolator, and solar panels need the inverter tied into the consumer unit and the ESB notification handled. Both are electrician work.
SEAI Heat Pump Grant for Work by Pawels Heating and Plumbing Ltd T/A PS Heating and Plumbing
SEAI support for a heat pump is up to €12,500 (as of July 2026) for eligible homes. Ask Pawels Heating and Plumbing Ltd T/A PS Heating and Plumbing how the grant application and payment would work for your job, and confirm the details with SEAI before any work starts.
It is worth knowing how the total breaks down before the survey. The heat pump itself carries €6,500, a Renewable Heat Bonus applies where you are replacing an oil, gas, solid fuel or electric storage system, and a further amount goes towards heating system upgrades such as new radiators. Asking for the quote to set those out separately makes the net figure clear rather than leaving it to be worked out later.
