PH Mechanical Ltd T/A Keltic is listed on the SEAI register for heat pump installation in Galway (checked July 2026). Registration can change, so confirm it on the SEAI registered contractor search (https://hes.seai.ie/GrantProcess/ContractorSearch.aspx) before you book.
How do I get a quote from PH Mechanical Ltd T/A Keltic?
Contact PH Mechanical Ltd T/A Keltic directly using the phone number on this page. Nothing goes through us, there is no booking fee, and your details are not passed to anyone else or sold on.
What areas does PH Mechanical Ltd T/A Keltic cover?
PH Mechanical Ltd T/A Keltic is based in Galway and takes work across the county, including Galway city, Oranmore, Athenry, Tuam, Ballinasloe, Loughrea, Clifden and Salthill. Most installers cover their whole county rather than one town, so it is worth confirming your own address when you call.
Do I need to use an installer based in Galway?
No. SEAI registration is national rather than county by county, so a contractor listed under a neighbouring county can quote for your home and handle the grant the same way. Getting two or three quotes is the only reliable way to see what the work should cost.
What can PH Mechanical Ltd T/A Keltic install?
They are registered with SEAI for heat pump installation and solar thermal. A contractor registered for more than one measure can fit them together and claim both grants, which saves coordinating two jobs.
Should anything be done before the installation?
Insulation comes first on any home energy upgrade. A well-sealed house needs a smaller system and runs at a lower cost, and attic and wall insulation carry SEAI grants of their own. Ask about the fabric of the house when you speak to PH Mechanical Ltd T/A Keltic.
The Other Trades a Galway Retrofit Needs
A renewable heating upgrade rarely happens on its own, and the order the work goes in decides what it costs. These are SEAI-registered trades covering Galway on our sister sites, each one worth lining up before the heating work starts rather than after.
- Alongside the installation Plumbers and gas installers in Galway Taking out an old oil or gas boiler, reworking the heating circuit and fitting the hot water cylinder is usually done by a registered plumber, and a heat pump is usually commissioned by a qualified, registered professional.
- Alongside the installation Electricians in Galway A heat pump needs its own supply and isolator, and solar panels need the inverter tied into the consumer unit and the ESB notification handled. Both are electrician work.
SEAI Heat Pump Grant for Work by PH Mechanical Ltd T/A Keltic
SEAI support for a heat pump is up to €12,500 (as of July 2026) for eligible homes. Ask PH Mechanical Ltd T/A Keltic how the grant application and payment would work for your job, and confirm the details with SEAI before any work starts.
It is worth knowing how the total breaks down before the survey. The heat pump itself carries €6,500, a Renewable Heat Bonus applies where you are replacing an oil, gas, solid fuel or electric storage system, and a further amount goes towards heating system upgrades such as new radiators. Asking for the quote to set those out separately makes the net figure clear rather than leaving it to be worked out later.
