Virtue Engineering Ltd, Common Questions
Is Virtue Engineering Ltd SEAI-registered?
Virtue Engineering Ltd is listed on the SEAI register for solar thermal installation in Louth (checked July 2026). Registration can change, so confirm it on the SEAI registered contractor search (https://hes.seai.ie/GrantProcess/ContractorSearch.aspx) before you book.
How do I get a quote from Virtue Engineering Ltd?
Contact Virtue Engineering Ltd directly using the phone number on this page. Nothing goes through us, there is no booking fee, and your details are not passed to anyone else or sold on.
What areas does Virtue Engineering Ltd cover?
Virtue Engineering Ltd is based in Louth and takes work across the county, including Drogheda, Dundalk, Ardee, Carlingford, Termonfeckin, Dunleer and Castlebellingham. Most installers cover their whole county rather than one town, so it is worth confirming your own address when you call.
What grant can I claim on work by Virtue Engineering Ltd?
Grants may be available for eligible homes. SEAI lists support of up to €1,200 for solar water heating as of July 2026, and SEAI decides eligibility. Confirm how the application and payment work with Virtue Engineering Ltd and with SEAI before any work starts.
Does my home in Louth qualify for a grant?
A home built and occupied before 2021 usually qualifies. Housing across Louth varies a lot, so the survey decides rather than the county. A registered installer confirms eligibility during a free survey before anything is committed.
Do I need to use an installer based in Louth?
No. SEAI registration is national rather than county by county, so a contractor listed under a neighbouring county can quote for your home and handle the grant the same way. Getting two or three quotes is the only reliable way to see what the work should cost.
The Other Trades a Louth Retrofit Needs
A renewable heating upgrade rarely happens on its own, and the order the work goes in decides what it costs. These are SEAI-registered trades covering Louth on our sister sites, each one worth lining up before the heating work starts rather than after.
- While the scaffolding is up Roofers in Louth If external wall insulation is going on, the scaffolding is already up and paid for. That is the cheapest time to deal with the roof, and solar panels want a sound roof under them.
- Alongside the installation Plumbers and gas installers in Louth Taking out an old oil or gas boiler, reworking the heating circuit and fitting the hot water cylinder is usually done by a registered plumber, and a heat pump is usually commissioned by a qualified, registered professional.
SEAI Heat Pump Grant for Work by Virtue Engineering Ltd
SEAI support for a heat pump is up to €12,500 (as of July 2026) for eligible homes. Ask Virtue Engineering Ltd how the grant application and payment would work for your job, and confirm the details with SEAI before any work starts.
It is worth knowing how the total breaks down before the survey. The heat pump itself carries €6,500, a Renewable Heat Bonus applies where you are replacing an oil, gas, solid fuel or electric storage system, and a further amount goes towards heating system upgrades such as new radiators. Asking for the quote to set those out separately makes the net figure clear rather than leaving it to be worked out later.
